Report: McCarthy Assured Manchin No Cuts to Social Security, Medicare in Debt Ceiling Resolution

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy told Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) that Republcians would not make cuts to social security or Medicare to offset the debt ceiling during a meeting on Tuesday, according to Punch Bowl News co-founder Jake Sherman.
